I saw the show the very first night of previews (Oct 20/09). It was non stop laughing from start to finish. We have tickets for the Dec 4th show and I cannot wait to go back and see it again. The cast was amazing. This is a must see show for anyone living in or near Toronto.
I,m not sure,my tickets are oddly enuff for the same row just a few seats over!!!HMMM!!!(note to self..find out who is in charge of ticket sales at the box office in Toronto.) LOL! P.S. I would LOVE it if David were there that night that someone put HIM in the splash zone! wink, wink.
This week, I saw the show twice within three days because I loved it that much! I bought the soundtrack and I have to say, I quite like the Toronto's cast better than the original cast. I especially love the change the Toronto show made to "You Tore My Heart Out". I think it's so much more moving as a duet between Toxie & Sarah.
Evan Alexander Smith as Toxie was phenomenal. His voice is crazy amazing. I completely fell in love with his portrayal of Toxie. He gave an honest and emotional performance that moved me to tears several times.
I cannot find the right words to give the proper respect and exaltation to Louise Pitre as The Mayor. She commanded the stage and stole each scene she was in.
Jamie McKnight (White Dude) & Daren Herbert (Black Dude) were the absolute perfect pair. And Brittany Gray was delightful as Sarah.
I will definitely see this show again a few more times in the coming weeks. I'm so happy it came to Toronto!
